In the 1890's, the United States Government employed a commission
to study the phenomenon of members of the same gender having sex with other
members of their same gender. As with the evolution of all societies, same
gender sexuality was an unabashed fact of life and the American Government
wanted to understand it, if not control it like prositution. Female homosexuality
existed but was kept so hushed up because of the prevailing Victorian attitude,
as indicative of the utter ignorance that prevailed, one high level government
official said, "Women, engage in homosexuality? Preposterous! Don't be
absurd!"
Before the 1890's, the word usually employed in polite circles to describe people of the same gender having "an emotional and/or a physical affair" with another individual of the same gender was "brotherly or sisterly love." The commission, subsequently, coined the word "homosexual" from the Greek prefix "homo" meaning same (1) with the Latin suffix "sexus" sex + - alis -al = more at sex or "sexual."
The words coined by the government commission were,
Heterosexual - of or characterized by sexual desire for those of the opposite sex
Homosexual - of or characterized by sexual desire for those of the same sex
Although they have subsequently taken on different parts of speech, they were originally adjectives used to define the particular aspect of the phenomenon referred to as sex. Ex: asexual.
Soon after the coinage and definition of the word "homosexual," professional Faith Merchants capitalized on this claiming as justification for their "righteous indignation," nothing Christ said but the mistranslated story of Sodom and Gomorrah in the Old Testament (Gen. 19:1-11) while ignoring Christ's words:
Matthew 5:17
17 ¶ Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Faith Merchants preached fiery sermons from their pulpits, denouncing
and denigrating people as a way of gaining converts and increasing their
coffers. Contrary to the Bible admonitions, they coined the contention
and phrase that "homosexuality is an abomination to God" and an "act against
nature."
Overzealous Faith Merchants violated the admonitions of Christ ignoring the original meaning of the word "abominable." Instead, they homed in on the modern connotation that they popularize. The Faith Merchants received training and were so skilled in religious polemics, of turning father against son, mother against daughter, anyone who wasn't clergy were afraid to question the actions of the Faith Merchant's attempt to drive an unchristian wedge between man, ostracizing a group of people as "detestable, unrepentant perverts."
Some of the overzealous, misguided, and blasphemous Faith Merchants began to disparagingly preach against the newly coined abomination from their respective pulpits and subsequently coined and employed the slur "homo," as a much quicker and easier to say abbreviation of the word homosexual. The word "homosexual" was a much more difficult word to pronounce repetitively, tongue tying preachers during a fiery sermon.
In 1947, some what was labeled the "homosexual community" by faith merchants, adopted the art form of female impersonation from the French Les Gais. Those individuals, later known as "drag queens," like heterosexual cross-dressers, used it as an expression of an art that gave some the opportunity to dress as women and even engage in romantic interludes with men in a more socially acceptable manner, if only in a make-believe theatrical production. The female impersonators borrowed the word "gai" as defining their art.
However, the French Les Gais were heterosexually married, bisexual men who performed women's role in theatrical performances because, in France, it was illegal for women to act on stage. In France during the 17th and 18th century, it was thought that a woman who performed any role on stage was either a whore, a prostitute or a women of very loose morals.
The American society would only relate to the word "gay" because it phonetically sounded the same. There were very few people in the "homosexual community." Out of a desire to assimilate and be accepted or just be left alone, they chose to ignore society's ignorance hence the spelling "gai" became "gay." Because female impersonators enjoyed having sex with a person of the same gender, they were called "homosexuals" and the word "gai," which was ignored in favor of the spelling "gay," became synonymous with the word homosexual.
Since guys were impersonating girls in theatrical shows, it was far more acceptable for masculine males in the audience to whistle, howl and hoot at the pretties on stage because doing so allowed them to claim not to be able to tell the difference. Homosexual liaisons and rendezvous frequently ensued, since the masculinity of the male was not compromised. This was conducive to widespread homosexuality if for no other reason, ostensibly the male and female role seemed to be maintained.
Many in the otherwise homosexual community, who wanted to become accepted and blend in with the mainstream society, adopted the commonly understood but more widely recognized spelling "gay" instead of insisting on the useage of the correct term and of the French spelling "gai." Since the practice of homosexuality was being more accepted by some, albeit, in reality, camouflaged from view, and more fervently rejected by others, the word "gay" erroneously began to be used as synonymous with "homosexual." Although borrowed from the French Les Gais who were bisexual and the fact that every psychologist and sexologist since Freud, Kinsey and Pomeroy confirmed that roughly 96% of all mankind are bisexual, to the chagrin and disgust of many a homophobe, the word "gay" became bastardized and to mean "homosexual."
At the same time, the American bisexuals, after forming homosexual pair bonds for whatever period of duration, enduring verbal and physical abuse by the so-called "Christians," despised the derogatory slur "homo" frequently used by Faith Merchants to denounce their behavior, joined with the female impersonators in adopting the word "gai" or its American spelling "gay" as a euphemistic counter to the slur.
The author disagrees with Sigmund Freud's contention that approximately 2% of the population are homosexual, 2% is heterosexual and 96% is bisexual or the Kinsey/Pomeroy study that says 90% of mankind are heterosexual and 10% is homosexual. Through the gift and power of God, the author reaffirms that all men were created in "God's image" and that each individual has their own distinct characteristics and personality. If one accepts the premise that God exists and is also perfect, and the words "standard deviation" does not and can not pertain to God or the creation or else God ceases to be perfect and exist! Since we were all made perfect in God's perfect image, God is perfectly bisexual and both attributes are perfectly right for all man depending on the timing, circumstance and manner of engagement and/or employment. "God is love," and "And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise," are but two of Christ's instructions the Faith Merchants chose to ignore at their own peril.
Every man or woman is uniquely different from anyone else. Since Sigmund Freud's study revealed that 96% of mankind is bisexual, the author bequeaths the word "gay" back to an unchristian, hateful, homophobic society and uses the French spelling "gai." Since the word "gai," which was borrowed from the French "Les Gais" who were heterosexually married bisexual men, to refer to man who were created bisexual in God's image, the author applies the term "gai" to all mankind consistent with its French origin. Also, consistant with the origins of the words "heterosexual" and "homosexual" originally as adjectives, to only describe a very limited, particular aspect of sexuality, the author subsequently uses the following terms consistent with their origin:
Heterosexual - adj. of or describing a form or aspect of bisexuality characterized by sex with the opposite gender
Homosexual - adj. of or describing a form or aspect of bisexuality characterized by sex with the same gender
Gai - 1 : all humanity as created by God, bisexual in nature, neither homosexually nor heterosexually gai 2 : bisexual but with either a neutral or strong proclivity towards heterosexuality or homosexuality. (Refer to Sigmund Freud and Alfred Kinsey's seven point scale hereafter modified as the Wadsworth ten point scale and spectrum)
Since all man was created basically bisexual or "gai," and since some gai people insist they are "homosexual" while others insist they are "heterosexual," the author uses the following terms:
Gai - 1 : all humanity as created by God, bisexual in nature, neither homosexually nor heterosexually gai 2 : bisexual but with either a neutral or strong proclivity towards heterosexuality or homosexuality
Heterosexually Gai - homophobically and heterosexually chauvinistic
Homosexually Gai - heterophobically and homosexually chauvinistic

Latin word for "man" (homo) but from the Greek prefix for "same" (homo-)
and means, so to speak, same sex. It is correctly used of sexual relations
between members of the same sex, whether these are men or women. The special
